Training
In dog packs, dogs correct and train each other, both positively and negatively. When they correct each other, they are completely calm and assertive. Here at Dogs Do Learn, we try to replicate that as much as we can, by rewarding and praising the behaviors we are trying to teach, and correcting with calm and assertive energy the behaviors we are trying to get rid of in our dogs. We believe that in order to have a confident dog, we must provide leadership that sets the rules and follows through with them. This ensures that they will feel safe and secure because they will know what is expected of them.
Private Sessions
We do one-on-one behavior training with you and your dog. Behavior training is for anyone who wants to turn their problem-causing dog into a calm, well-balanced dog! A balanced dog is calm and relaxed in all environments and obedient to your direction at all times. The best way to help your dog become balanced is to provide exercise, discipline, and affection – in that order. Most behavioral problems in dogs are a result of the dogs not getting these needs met. Training Testimonials
“We had been to several trainers, and training classes for our dog Izzy. Izzy is a 50lb. Shepard-Mix. She’s reactive to both dogs and people. Katie had control of our dog in a matter of seconds. She not only trained us, she was also open to working with our kids. She was the only trainer who worked with a whole pack of dogs. She calmed down our crazy dog, and had us walking with 4 other dogs on our first session. We’ve never met a better trainer, and we don’t know where we’d be without her help.” – Martin C.
I used Katie’s services for about a year. She walked my dog three times a week and she also trained my dog to get in and out of the car. Katie is not only knowledgeable and caring but she always treated my dog and me with kindness. She truly loves animals and is very conscientious. I recommend Katie to anyone who wants someone who genuinely cares for the dogs who are in her care. – Joann G.
