We believe dogs DO learn because their owners CAN be trained!
Katie Kleven is the head trainer and owner at Dogs Do Learn, located in Coon Rapids, MN. We are a family run business that believes every dog owner can have a better relationship with their dog! We believe that every problem that a dog has is almost 100% not the fault of the dog, but the people who are influencing the dog. This can be discouraging to hear, but it also means that every problem your dog has can be solved by YOU! Anyone who is willing to increase their knowledge and change their habits will succeed in changing their dog’s behavior!
We do daycare at our house in an ideal family environment with walks and playtime. We offer walking services in our Coon Rapids neighborhood. We offer dog training anywhere in the Minneapolis area, as training usually takes place at the owner’s home. We would love to help you on your journey to becoming a better pack leader for your dog!

Testimonials
We have known Katie for over 4 years. During this time she has taken care of our dogs and cats. She is wonderful with our pets. She was there for us when we lost 2 of our dogs that lived very long lives. She is now working with a new dog that we have that needs extra help getting adjusted to his new environment. He is very timid and shy and has made great strides with Katie’s training. She takes care of our pets when we go out of town. Katie is very dependable and friendly. She would be a great person to help with your pet care needs. – Annette B.
Katie has a gift for working with animals. She watched our dog for 10 days, while we were on vacation. Our dog received great care, learned more desireable behaviors, learned to run on a treadmill and more! I didn’t worry about our dog’s care or treatment for one moment during the 10 days we were gone. She was properly socialized with other dogs and animals. Katie has a great passion for dogs and I’d trust her any time to watch our pooch again. Thanks, Katie! – Heather D.
